Nork is a halal food scanner that helps you check whether products are suitable for your dietary needs. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

Data We Collect

None. Nork does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. The app has no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.

How It Works

All barcode classification is done ahead of time against the Open Food Facts database and bundled as plain-text files within the app. Nork does not call any API at runtime. Everything runs locally on your device.

Camera Access

Nork uses your device's camera to scan barcodes. Camera data is processed in real-time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

On-Device Data

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

Scan History— Products you have scanned are saved locally so you can review them later. This data never leaves your device.
Settings— Your preferences are stored locally.

Third-Party Services

Nork uses no third-party SDKs, libraries, or servicesat runtime. It is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks. No data is shared with any third party.

Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any information from children. Since no personal data is collected from anyone, the app is safe for users of all ages.

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
